Job Description:
The Boston, MA office of Finnegan, one of the world's leading
and largest intellectual property law firms, is seeking a Business
Development Coordinator. The individual will support the firm in
the areas of business development, marketing, and client relations.
The coordinator will work with managers to ensure initiatives align
with firm strategy and practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist the business and client development managers with
developing proposals and presentations for pitch
opportunities.
- Serve as co-lead support for regional marketing efforts for the
Boston office, Robotics and Media working groups, and the
Nor'easter's group. Also work with managers, DBD, and CMO to
support the BD activities of across other firm working groups, as
needed.
- Support managers with in-house education opportunities for
clients and prospects, as needed.
- Collaborate with the Events team to develop and execute
in-person and virtual marketing events, such as firm-hosted
seminars, client receptions, and sponsorships for the Boston
office, Robotics and Media working groups, and the Nor'easter's
group.
- Provide standard reporting across the primary areas of support,
including the Boston office.
- Track activities related to the client intelligence initiative,
in-house education, research, etc., as directed by managers, DBD,
or CMO.
- Provide back-up support for research related to corporate
profiles, venue/judge statistics, and firm experience
(technologies, courts, counsel, etc.).
- Maintain inventory of marketing materials and promo gift items
in Boston.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum three years of experience in a professional business
environment.
- Knowledge of and/or demonstrated aptitude for analytical
research, with experience in a wide range of research tools,
including advanced Internet searching, Monitor Suite, Lex Machina,
Pacer, or other related legal databases.
- Basic understanding of intellectual property law a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with
ability to synthesize data and succinctly convey facts and
strategic implications.
- Adept user of various technologies, including Microsoft Office
suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and video-conferencing technologies
(Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx). Exposure or experience with
SharePoint a plus.
