Job Description:
The OpportunityAs a continued area of focus for MassMutual
Financial Advisors, the Wealth Management business is growing and
expanding our capabilities and platform for our Financial Advisor
salesforce of -7,500 advisors. The Head of MMLIS Product and
Services will lead efforts to further develop and grow a
competitive product offering and platform for retail/high-net-worth
clients.This role will be responsible for:
- Leading and growing our investment advisory programs and
platforms offered through our Investment Advisor/Broker-dealer,
MMLIS including Wealth Management Services (WMS), our advisory
program with $60B+ in separate account, unified managed account,
Rep as PM, and model portfolio programs, as well as third party
referral programs. Particular focus on consolidation of client
assets on our platform.
- Maintaining our brokerage product platform including mutual
funds, money funds, ETFs and structured investments as well as our
suite of proprietary and third-party annuities, making up $100B+ in
AUM
- Acting as spokesperson for our Wealth Management products and
services throughout the agency system to -7,500 advisors and a
nationwide network of agencies / branches
- Leading training and practice management efforts focused on
helping advisors run effective, efficient, and compliant wealth
management practices that exceed growth expectations for them and
for the company
- Coordinating closely with our investment management team to
develop and promote our model portfolio and bespoke investment
management offerings on the platform, including OCIO services
- Leading our efforts in the Group Retirement space, an important
and growing segment of the wealth management market
- Leading a new business governance function and process for our
Wealth Management business, partnering with Law, Compliance and
Risk as well as the field to identify and manage the health and
risk profile of the businessThe TeamThe candidate will lead a team
of 35-40 people, consisting of MMLIS Products and Services, the
Pension Resource Center (Group Retirement) and a new Business
Governance function. The Minimum QualificationsThe successful
candidate will have 15+ years of experience working across a
breadth of investment products in a wealth management business
focused on the needs of retail investors. This leader will have in
depth expertise and experience in positioning and sales strategies
around proprietary ETF/Mutual Fund model portfolios. Additionally,
expertise around Alternative Investments including private vehicles
(hedge funds, private equity, real estate) as well as 40 Act
registered products is a plus. FINRA licenses 7, 63 and 24
required.The successful candidate must be able to communicate and
partner effectively with financial advisors, General Agents, and
home office teammates, and be able to balance multiple priorities
across a wide variety of mature as well as early-stage
