A role with significant influence and opportunity:
We need a solution-focused subject matter experts in the Capital
Markets space to enrich pre-sales conversations with Enterprise
customers. As an experienced consultant, your mission will be to
draw out customer business and technical problems, as they relate
to the value chain and front-to-back architectures. You will be an
advocate and agent of change to both our internal teams and our
customers, helping us to accelerate our customers' use of our
products by selling and delivering transformative programmes of
work that go beyond simple configuration and include change
management, project delivery, optimisation and more.
To succeed in this role, you will need a very commercial focus, be
an expert in Financial Services as an industry, and a passion for
building and delivering bespoke and often complex programs of work.
Reporting to the Global Head of Pre-Sales & Solutions based in the
US, you will take a key cross-functional leadership role playing a
hands-on role in maturing industry and regulatory knowledge,
helping drive Enterprise sales by devising solutions to key persona
business and technology problems. This role is intended to be based
within commuting distance to critical geographic markets where Duco
offices are located.
Overall, you will be accountable for:
- Account ownership from a presales perspective, including
supporting sales with business development, opportunity
identification, deal shaping, pitching, and negotiation, SOW
development and negotiation, deal closure, and engagement delivery.
Typically with values between -500k and -5M
- Leadership of intensive discovery program; leveraging creative
approaches to problem solving, problem resolution, feedback,
fostering open communication within the Revenue organisation
- Customer engagement and management at all levels including
C-Level relationships and buying personas
- Working with partners, Professional Services, and Solution
Engineering counterparts to develop an Enterprise playbook that is
outcome focused and transformational in nature To be successful in
the role, this is what you'll need:
- A minimum of 10 years industry experience in Capital Markets,
preferably at a global organisation in a post trade function
- A deep understanding of the process and control environment
around holdings, collateral, and currency balances between our
internal accounting, clearing brokers, custodians, and clearing
houses.
- Expertise to review and understand the control frameworks that
support collateral and margin management as well as Trade Bookings,
drafting Trade Confirmations, monitoring Electronic Confirmation
Matching platforms, processing Cash Settlements and reconciling
Cash Balances.
- Should have an end to end understanding of the Capital Markets
products and its corresponding post trade life cycle
- Has the awareness to review market data, pricing, trading
information, corporate actions, and other issues that affect
portfolio valuation, performance, compliance and regulations and
books and records
- Familiarity of working with product and technology departments,
navigating budgetary and regulatory landscapes to deliver solutions
to internal stakeholders
- Great skills in organisation, communications (including
presentation skills, diplomacy, and influencing), process thinking,
directing work through others, initiative, building relationships
and trust, and consensus building. You will understand how to act
as the voice of the customer, including customer needs, motivations
and behaviours.
- Good communication and influencing skills, at the executive
level as well as with the employee base in clients and in-house.
The ability to interpret and present complex management information
succinctly and in a compelling way. Proven ability to motivate
responsible parties to ensure project timelines and deliverables
are met.
- Flexibility in your approach, in the face of rapid
organisational and environmental change
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel to client sites or
other Duco offices Bonus points if you also have:
- Technical system integration knowledge from an API and
migration perspective
- Prior Client experience is a plus
- Experience within private equity or VC-backed growth companies
