The RoleAs VP of User Experience Design, you ll build and lead a team of UX designers supporting business objectives at Fidelity, ensuring that user experiences across our platforms are customer-focused and exceptionally good. As a Group Chapter Lead, you ll be critical in making connections between our design organization, and the business to drive innovation and deliver best-in-class digital experiences that instill confidence in our customers. The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Identifying and developing strategic design opportunities to drive product and business strategy.
  • Leading and managing a group of people managers and individual contributors as a team, across locations to ensure cohesion and alignment at both the design and product level
  • Ensuring experience decisions drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Curate large learning events and facilitate learning at scale to promote skill, career, and development growth for chapter leaders and chapter members.
  • Responsible for decision making across multiple Chapters on standards, resources, and overall direction of work through proactive partnership with Chapter Area leaders, Product Area Leaders, etc.
  • Advocating for Systems Thinking and Human Centered Design.
  • 10+ years of UX design experience, including skills in leading and coordinating the effort of a team of designers
  • A dynamic leader with experience building a new design team within an established organization
  • Experience leading and growing people managers to be force multipliers
  • Proven track record, inspiring the creativity and innovation of your teams, creating a culture of inclusion, experimentation, exploration, and continuous learning.
  • Experience collaborating with senior level leaders toward successful business outcomes
  • Record of success leading UX for product design and MVP launches
  • Unwavering curiosity to ask why and dig deeper to understand the root causes of any ambiguous customer problem
  • A strong presenter and communicator that can help craft a measurable product vision that gets results and connects opportunities to collaborate across business partners
  • Familiarity with the value of design systems, understand reuse and scale, and know when to contribute to make them better
  • You have a solid set of product, visual, interaction, and service design skills, and can communicate the bigger picture through systems thinking, design visioning and journey mapping
  • You may not consider yourself a data scientist or a researcher, but you don t shy away from understanding data and customer feedback to better inform your direction
  • You have a proven foundation of designing for the development of digital products, particularly in an agile environment
  • You have a powerful impulse to improve existing designs, invent new experiences, and perform better than our competition
  • Ability to effectively connect with and influence all levels of the organization and motivate change.
  • Experience bringing mobile products to market for younger users strongly preferred.
    The TeamThis role supports Personal Investing at Fidelity, a group that helps a wide array of customers with services like wealth management, retirement planning, brokerage services, workplace plan administration, college savings, and financial planning and engagement programs. This role also supports Fidelity s User Experience Design team, a group that delivers simple and accessible digital experiences to its customers.
