Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover, MA, is a unique combination of woodland paths, cobblestone walkways, a stone bridge, and reflecting ponds. We are searching for a talented and dedicated groundskeeper to join our team. You will perform a range of general lawn maintenance duties, including maintaining the landscape design, removing weeds and dead plants, mowing, and supervising repairs. As the groundskeeper and cemetery worker, you will ensure the growth and vibrancy of our plants, flowers, lawn, and garden structures. The ideal candidate will be creative, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Responsibilities: Cemetery maintenance and repairs, lawn cutting, trimming, seeding, and cleaning up. Burial preparations -and lot sales and support of lot owners. Conduct general maintenance duties such as cleaning walkways and other duties. Trimming overgrown limbs, hedges, and leaves. Uphold the landscaping design and ensure plantings and growth. Supervise maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures, Chapel maintenance, and repairs. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 2 years experience in a landscaping, cemetery, or groundskeeping role or related role. Must be able to operate maintenance equipment, including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers. High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Good stamina and physical health.
