Who You'll Work With

Join the team redefining how Cisco works with providers and partners to build compelling managed services & as-a-service offerings for Security architectures.

This role is key to supporting our Distributors in driving and developing the strategy for Security infrastructure, physical and virtual offers, and outbound program creation for demand generation of product/solution/software sales go-to-market. Experience in the IT sector and with Security architectures is critical.

In this role, you can craft, implement, and grow an emerging business within Cisco. You will work closely with leading security technologies to develop compelling managed service offerings and sales GTM strategy and drive big bets within our customers.

The service creation team is focused on driving long-term strategy and successful execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups within our Distributors and our Managed Service Providers sales, product management, operations, and marketing teams to drive new Cisco-based managed solutions into their catalog.

What you'll do

The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging with various Distributors and Providers to support key sales and business activities needed to develop a new managed service offering. You will have a background in high-tech sales or experience in strategy management consulting. The ideal candidate will be asked to drive key responsibilities to grow our managed service business through Distribution:

  • Develop new Managed Service solutions for our partners by enabling Distributors to better align relevant Cisco capabilities and resources with our partners.
  • Take advantage of MSP Industry trends, Cisco products, and competitive dynamics to ensure new security service offerings are well positioned for partner's target customers.
  • Work across internal Cisco and Distribution teams to build new managed service offerings and develop launch content within our partners' catalogs.
  • Evaluate partners' capabilities and differentiators to support Distributors' ability to facilitate new service creation.
  • Evangelize partner service offerings and voice-of-the-partner into business units and the Cisco Sales organization.
  • Create GTM models with partners to sell the Security service offering through Distribution.

    Who you are:

    • You are a self-starter. You have been performing well in a dynamic environment and possess interpersonal skills to run multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.
    • You have strong executive presence, cross-group teamwork, and communication skills that drive influence among senior leaders across a highly matrixed organization.
    • A customer-facing subject matter authority focusing on business development, delivering and orchestrating Managed Services offers that can be scaled through our distribution teams to our MSP partners.
    • You possess experience in supporting Distributors and driving successful programs that can scale through to the partners they support
    • You are a go-getter capable of developing an operational knowledge of Cisco architectures, products, and solutions capable of delivering a value proposition to customers.
    • You are experienced with solution selling and have a consistent track record of converting engagements into solutions and service sales.
    • You engage and build relationships with the client and present complex ideas in a brief yet compelling form that creates urgency to implement the proposed engagement.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 7+ years of sales experience is required.
      • 5+ years' experience working for High-tech, Distribution, or within a Managed Service provider.
      • 3+ years' experience in security sales or certifications in security solutions. Solutions include Zero Trust, MFA, Endpoint and Network Security, XDR/MDR, and firewall.
        This position can be based anywhere in the US. Travel will vary with up to 25% travel.

        When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location.         U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

        Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
