Job Description:

North Suffolk's CBHC - Emergency Services Program is looking for Call Center Clinicians to join our team! The Call Center Clinician provides telephone screening and intake functions for individuals calling the CBHC clinic. This position is on-site, no remote work available. Full time and per diem available.

What you'll do:

  • Triage calls from individuals, families and providers for individuals in psychiatric crisis.
  • Triage and provide support to the CBHC clinic for walk in urgent care.
  • Provide resource information to individuals calling the emergency and non-emergency CBHC line.
  • Assess crisis/emergency situations and intervene immediately with appropriate clinical treatment.
  • Refer individuals to appropriate services as necessary and act as a liaison to outpatient facilities, residential facilities, shelters and substance use support agencies. Maintain an up-to-date roster of area inpatient psychiatric units.
  • Be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team of social workers, counselors, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, recovery coaches, and administrators. What you'll need:
    • Education/Skills:
      • Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling or other relevant Medicaid reimbursable clinical specialty required.
      • Valid independent clinical license (LICSW/LMHC) preferred
      • Spanish speaking applicants strongly encouraged to apply! Additional language differential for program-needed language skills.
      • Experience:
        • Minimum one (1) year in a psychiatric emergency service program or similar setting required. Competitive & Comprehensive Benefits:
