Range: $60,000 - $70,000Location: RemoteSummary: Reporting to the
Director of Merchandising, this position is responsible for a
merchandise department's operations activities surrounding
implementation and maintenance of procedures, inter-departmental
communications, and management of Junior Merchandise Assistant and
Merchandise Assistant positions.Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops and oversees all purchase order processes and
procedures, ensuring the consistent and proper accounting of all
purchase order data (product information, SKU, etc.) and related
tasks across all company inventory management and project
management platforms.
- Trains and oversees Merchandise and Junior Merchandise
Assistants on purchase order entry, product tracking, internal
messaging, necessary reporting requirements and standard company
purchase order organization and filing best practices.
- Reviews and audits vendor order confirmation for apparel and
accessory category vendors, ensuring that within 3 days of receipt
order confirmations are confirmed for accuracy or adjusted as
needed.
- Leads implementation of any 3PL procedures and strategic
planning in collaboration and under the direction of the head
buyer.
- Trains and oversees necessary processes and procedures for the
monitoring of merchandise operations across the company, including
inventory requests, damage procedure, and overall interdepartmental
processes.
- Coordinates with interdepartmental teams, specifically the
logistics department, to ensure timely and accurate shipping and
receiving data is tracked and accounted for in related company
systems in real time.
- Plans and coordinates necessary meetings between the
merchandise and logistics teams to ensure that all necessary
updates are discussed. Manage updated marketing assets from brand
partners and effectively communicate to internal teams at
Bodega.
- Monitors and addresses merchandise department structure and
performance management in partnership with Director of
Merchandising.
- Collaborates with Accounting Department ensuring that all
weekly accounts payable concerns are addressed.

responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and

Requirements:Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.)
from four-year college or university; or two to three years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of basic merchandise terminology and
retail math
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
