Rooted in the 100-plus-year legacy of its founding partners, the network spans the Northeast and is continuing to grow.What youll do:Performs and processes medical digital images, position patients for exams, transports patients, and provides other routine assistance to radiology staff in a medical center by performing the following duties.Responsibilities/Duties:Acquires digital radiographic images as ordered by clinicians by use of x-ray machines.Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.Reviews for proper identification and quality checkPrepares digital imaging for reading by physicians.Transports patients from radiologic diagnostic procedures to exam room.Uploads images to patient chart if necessaryBurns CDs requested by patient after release is obtained.Files films, discs and records if necessaryMaintains a clean workstation by sanitizing in between each patient and at the end of every shift.Qualifications:Graduate of an approved school of radiology required.Licensed X-Ray Technologist in MassachusettsARRT CertifiedFamiliarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and other regulatory policiesKnowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment.Medical office procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology, telephone protocol and professional etiquetteElectronic medical systems is a plus, including Athena/Centricity, Medi-Tech and the likeAbility to react calmly and effectively under stress.Develops and maintains effective and professional working relationships with patients, medical staff, coworkers, and the public by displaying sympathy, tact and understanding.Must be a team player with a positive attitude, adjust to various personalities, work with a diverse population, demonstrating patience and professionalism.Promotes teamwork through collaboration.Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.Represents the clinic in a professional manner.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all patient issues.What we offer:Excellent growth and advancement opportunitiesDynamic environmentAccess to a diverse network of practitionersBroad infrastructure of tools and programs to enhance the employee experience.Competitive CompensationGenerous PTOBenefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.We are an equal-opportunity employer.
