Island and Massachusetts.What youll
do:Responsibilities/Duties:Answering and triaging incoming
calls.Check in patients for their appointments (verify insurance
information, referrals, demographics, etc).Covering charts (last
office note, diagnostic test results, lab results, etc).Verify
insurance eligibility.Collect copayments and outstanding balances
(batch and balance at end of day).Verify that all test results and
office notes are available for the patients appointment.Bring
patients to exam rooms if needed.Cover co-workers
vacation/sick/personal time.Perform closing tasks (stay with a
co-worker until the providers are finished) in the office once
every other week.Other duties as assigned by managers and leads.Who
you are:Qualifications:High School diploma or GED Required.One-year
medical office experience. Health care receptionist experience
preferred.Knowledge of HIPAA and other regulatory
policies.Knowledge of Insurance regulations, policies, and
procedures.Knowledge of medical office procedures, policies,
practices and medical terminology.Knowledge of electronic medical
systems is a plus, including Athena/Centricity, Medi-Tech and the
like.Telephone protocol and professional etiquette; strong
communication skills, verbal and written.Extensive customer service
experience.Proven ability to multi-task.Computer skills, being
proficient with Windows based software.Strong problem-solving
skills and ability to think quickly, professionally, and
efficiently.Ability to represent our organization in a professional
