  • Sustainability Yearbook S&P GlobalPOSITION SUMMARY:-- The DOT Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for DOT compliance, including driver qualification files, hours of service reporting, DOT permits, DOT maintenance records, FMCSA cargo tank registrations/certifications, licensing and registration and accident reports and investigation.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:--
    • Ensures compliance with all DOT related policies, programs and procedures.-- Assists in development of necessary programs and processes to ensure continued compliance with DOT regulations.
    • Generates ad hoc reports for field and corporate staff as necessary.
    • Responsible for driver qualification files, DOT drug & alcohol testing, driver log books/electronic logs, hours of service compliance & reporting, new hire DOT orientation and training of employees on DOT related safety - FMCSR.
    • Responsible for DOT maintenance records, DOT permits, vehicle license and registration, moving authority,-- FMCSA Cargo Tank Registrations/Certifications and fleet audits.
    • Regularly communicates with field management and resolves discrepancies or other concerns.
    • Manages customer safety databases as needed and updates with Company specific information.
    • May be involved in DOT accident investigations and maintaining DOT accident register.
    • Administers and/or oversees new hire road tests.
    • Assists with the coordination and tracking of employee training.
    • Ensures compliance with DOT Hazmat program and compliance with Hazmat endorsements.
    • Responsible for the Fleetmatics program.
    • May be required to travel to other work locations to coordinate the overall DOT program.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:--
      • Basic understanding of safety plans and programs.
      • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other applicable health and safety standards.--MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:--
        • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role with DOT compliance responsibilities, including Hazmat transportation.OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
          • Very good written and oral communication skills.
          • Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
          • Strong attention to detail, data analysis and financial analysis skills.
          • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a high volume environment.
          • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
