Manager plays a pivotal role in bringing people together by and
through partnerships that create meaningful, engaging, and
well-executed events that reflect the heart of our community and
the mission of our organization. Reporting to the Assistant Vice
President for Operations and Risk Management, this position
oversees the logistical aspects of all events and partners with
colleagues to support their events – Marketing Membership,
Development, Facilities and HR, etc. This position also has
responsibility for full lifecycle of some organizational events -
ensuring every event embodies our values of belonging, joyfulness,
collaboration, and transformation. Working across departments, the
Events Manager translates program goals into impactful experiences
that strengthen engagement, build relationships, and elevate the
organization’s visibility. Whether managing a major fundraising
gala, a community Shabbat dinner, a wellness expo, or an external
rental in our state-of-the-art theater, the Events Manager ensures
every detail—from planning to execution—reflects excellence,
hospitality, and mission alignment. Success relies on excellent
coordination and communication with various colleagues to ensure
all JCCGB events are well orchestrated, fiscally responsible and

responsibilities include, and are not limited to: Event Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive annual event calendar aligned
with fundraising, engagement, and programmatic goals. Partner with
Development, Marketing, HR and Program teams to design events that
advance donor relationships, community (member and staff)
connections, and organizational visibility. Translate
organizational priorities into engaging event experiences that
reflect our mission and values. Create and manage event concepts,
timelines, budgets, and post-event evaluations to measure impact
and ROI. Event Management & Execution: Lead the end-to-end planning
and logistics for all organizational events Annual gala or benefit
event(s), Donor cultivation and stewardship events, Campaign events
(launches, groundbreakings, dedications) Community engagement
programs and celebrations Coordinate all logistical details—venue
selection, vendor management, catering, décor, A/V, permits,
transportation, and staffing. Engagement & Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with internal and external partners including
vendors, consultants, and sponsors to ensure flawless execution.
Collaborate with Development Team to align event goals with donor
stewardship and cultivation strategies. Work closely with
leadership and volunteer committees to maximize participation,
sponsorship, and visibility opportunities. Marketing &
Communications Collaboration: Partner with Marketing and
Communications teams to develop event collateral, invitations,
digital campaigns, signage, and post-event highlights. Ensure brand
consistency and mission alignment across all event-related
materials and experiences. Support the integration of event stories
and imagery into social media, newsletters, and donor
communications. Operations & Administration: Develop and manage
event budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with
fundraising objectives. Track event metrics, attendance, and
feedback to evaluate performance and inform future strategy.
Maintain accurate event records, including guest lists, sponsorship
commitments, and post-event reports in CRM systems (Salesforce

This full-time, salaried position offers a comprehensive benefits
package, a supportive work environment with a hybrid work option
for some administrative duties, and a competitive starting salary
range between $60-68K annually. Flexibility to work evenings and
weekends as needed for events. The salary offered will ultimately
be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications,
marketing, hospitality, or related field (or equivalent
experience). Minimum 5–7 years of event management experience,
preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven setting. · Proven
success managing multiple complex events simultaneously, from
conception to completion. · Experience collaborating with senior
leadership, board members, donors, and community partners. Skills
and Abilities: Must have strong computer skills, including
proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and
preferred experience with Salesforce, Asana, and Slack Excellent
project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong budget management and vendor negotiation experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to
represent the organization professionally and warmly. Proficiency
with event management software, CRM databases (Salesforce
preferred), and Microsoft Office / Google Suite tools. Deep
alignment with the organization’s mission and values. Creative and
strategic thinker with an eye for detail. Collaborative, adaptable,
and solutions-oriented. Passionate about creating welcoming,
inclusive, people-centered experiences. Calm under pressure and
able to manage competing priorities gracefully. Physical
Requirements: This position is a hybrid position since some
administrative and operations duties may be effectively performed
remotely while others require an in-office presence. Must be able
to work in a dynamic, sometimes noisy, event environment with
multiple simultaneous priorities. Some evening and weekend work
