Our teams are empowered to make decisions that drive business value without red-tape and push the bounds of financial and technical innovation. We follow an agile process, moving quickly, solving difficult problems in new ways, and empowering everyone to have a voice in the direction of our products.Business Analysts work with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand customer needs, analyze data from a variety of sources and set squad priorities to ensure that we are focusing on the most important work. They create product requirements in the form of user stories, work with our user experience team to develop mock ups, and collaborate with the engineers on our squad to ensure we build features that bring value to our customers. This role also plays a key part in making sure the squad is working well together, participating in and sometimes leading squad agile ceremonies.At EFE, our goal is to empower squads to figure out the best solutions to the problems that need to be solved - and we also hold them accountable to the results. Shipping product is necessary, but not enough. We seek business analysts who want to be future product managers - who are willing to be accountable for the products and features they work on, and who are willing to collaborate with their fellow squad members to ensure the teams' success.Responsibilities:Create detailed use cases and product requirements in the form of user storiesWork with our User Experience team to generate mock-ups when neededParticipate in the agile process of the squad, leading some ceremonies such as sprint planning, product grooming and retrospectivesCollaborate with other internal stakeholders including other squads, legal, compliance, and investment managementApply analytical thinking to report on product performance and recommend enhancements to help drive better business resultsRequirements:1-2 years of product or business analyst experienceExperience in financial services is a plusExperience working with agile teams including writing user stories or business requirementsProven analytical and creative problem-solving skillsBA/BS or equivalent experienceAbout Edelman Financial Engines Since 1986, Edelman Financial Engines has been committed to always acting in the best interest of our clients.
