Active role within client valuations. Apply traditional and
cutting-edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of
corporate finance analyses. Utilize discounted cash flow models,
trading and acquisition multiples, and the use of derivatives,
binomial, and Monte Carlo simulation models to value tangible and
intangible assets in purchase price allocations and equity and debt
securities.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, conduct, manage, and oversee projects and
services in business valuation analysis, industry research, and
related investigative services.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on business
valuation and related services and assess the performance of staff
for engagement reviews.
- Perform unbiased business and asset valuations for tangible and
intangible assets, including equity valuations, options analyses,
and purchase price allocations.
- Work closely with partners and staff on client management,
practice development, and business development processes.
- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge; proficiency in US
GAAP and GAAS preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in a similar
consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at
a national level with experience in business valuation.
- Experience in broad-based business and financial valuations,
multi-discipline appraisals, and fairness opinions, especially
those of closely held companies.
- Strong knowledge of SFAS 141/142, SFAS 157.
- Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and project
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft
Office Suite and audit preparation software.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to
various client sites.
