Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Principal Analyst, HEOR Real World Evidence to join our growing team at Lumanity. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading prospective and retrospective studies, supporting the value proposition and registration of our biopharma clients products. Leveraging primary and secondary real-world data, the candidate will have primary responsibility for the study design, statistical analysis plan, and reporting phases of projects; and, oversight of the statistical programming and results generation of the study analyst. The main programming language is SAS, but other software (e.g., R) may be used, depending on the project.The ideal candidate will be an epidemiology or HEOR professional with enthusiasm, vision, a willingness to learn and a flexible approach, looking to develop and further their career. The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced consultancy environment and enjoy solving complex problems using various study designs and analysis techniques.Responsibilities Client Services (Billable time) 75%Lead observational studies supporting client real-world evidence needs including comparative effectiveness, burden of illness, adherence/persistence, incidence/prevalence, budget-impact model inputs, value-based contract evaluations, product registration support, publications, presentations, and more. Develop study protocols, statistical analysis plans, final reports and slide decks for assigned studies, oversee project analyst/programmer development of analytic datasets and statistical analysis, interpret study results in the context of the study and clients business objectives. Serve as main point of contact for study-related client communications.Guide and manage self, analysts and others to meet timelines and budget, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work in accordance with all contractual obligations or limits.Business Development & Thought Leadership - 15%Harness professional network to identify potential clients that can benefit from Lumanity Real World Evidence-HEOR offerings. Participate in study proposal, bid defense, and capabilities presentation processes.Identify and develop abstracts for submission to and presentations at relevant clinical and professional conferences to demonstrate Lumanity deep understanding of the uses of real-world data and technical expertise in study design and statistical analysis.Team Growth & Development- 10%Serve on relevant Lumanity working groups and business initiativesCollaborate within and across functions (including enterprise RWE and other practices) to develop SOPs specific to study documentation, SAS programming and validation, results reporting, and others as identified.Provide general support to the department, including but not limited to mentoring junior staff, presenting at team meetings, and conducting training.Requirements

• A masters degree or PhD in epidemiology, health services research, biostatistics, pharmaceutical outcomes research, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years experience in leading, designing, and conducting observational studies including statistical programming and analysis within a consultancy, the pharmaceutical industry, or a relevant academic environment.
• Senior level expert with a strong focus on data analysis
• Proven knowledge of fundamentals clinical and reimbursement coding systems (e.g., DRG, ICD9/10, CPT, NDC, LOINC)
• Publications or presentations demonstrating knowledge of health economics and outcomes research including relevant study designs and statistical analysis methods.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills and comfort liaising with technical and non-technical clients (both internally and externally)
• Experience with SAS/BASE, SAS/STAT, SAS/SQL, and macros applied to large claims, electronic medical records, laboratory, national surveys, and related databases.
