The Sr. Analyst, Commercial Analytics is responsible for supporting the development of analytical insights to communicate market and commercial performance metrics. The individual will lead the identification, development, and dissemination of critical insights generated through analytics. In addition, the individual will help develop the commercial forecasting strategy and approach for the abaloparatide franchise and will assist in creating a dynamic and comprehensive model that allows for flexibility to incorporate market events, internal strategic imperatives, and other critical business drivers impacting the forward-looking forecast. Based on the scope of responsibilities, the individual will interface with a wide variety of stakeholders including the Capital, Strategy, & Transactions team (CST), Commercial leadership, Supply Chain, Finance etc. This individual would be expected to assume broader and deeper responsibility within the Business Intelligence group as tenure progresses. Responsibilities

  • Understand the key drivers of the business and support the development of an analytical framework that drives actionable insights within the Commercial organization.
  • Support high-priority commercial initiatives by integrating insights from forecasting, data analytics, and competitive and market intelligence.
  • Become a trusted analytical partner to the Commercial organization - identify areas to strategically enhance the Commercial organization's analytical toolkits and participate in delivering critical insights to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide access to real-time insights to drive operational decisions in line with strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a demand forecast approach and model for both existing commercial assets and future pipeline assets, working with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, CST, and others in support of critical strategic imperatives related to performance reporting, sampling, manufacturing, and sales incentive compensation planning.
  • Collaborate with third-party consultants and IT-business partners, as needed, to enhance data reporting. Assist with the development of relevant business rules, in conjunction with third-party consultants and/or IT-business partners, to enable accurate measurement and reporting of key metrics. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or relevant degree).
    • 3-5 years' analytical experience. Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience preferred, but not required.
    • Proven ability to build complex models in Excel.
    • Experience with market based as well as prescription/patient based forecast models and operational forecasting design and analysis.
    • Knowledge of claims-level, prescription-level, and other sales data sources is a plus.
    • Ability to glean insights from various data sources, and accurately integrate data into forecasting models and performance reporting.
    • Advanced analytics and data visualization skills using Excel as well as Tableau for data analytics, visualization, and modeling is a plus
    • Exhibits a positive attitude and is proactively motivated to drive projects and initiatives forward from start-to-finish.
    • Strong communication skills - ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
    • Strong people skills and a solid team player.
