Job Description:This position sits within the Finance team supporting Devonshire Investors ("DI"). This role is highly analytical and requires an individual who is able to multi-task in a highly complex organization. The ability to understand the full breath of the financial statements, and partner with other leaders in other finance organizations is a necessity. DI is responsible for a global portfolio of businesses in a broad range of industries that include information and communication technology, real estate, private equity and natural resources.The TeamAs a finance function, our mission is to drive outstanding business performance and improve the long-term value of DI to its shareholders. DI Finance provides analysis and oversight for a multi-billion dollar portfolio, and provides management with insightful, practical financial analysis to guide effective decision-making.The Financial Analyst IV position supports DI senior financial management by conducting sophisticated financial analyses in order to drive value growth in DI's investments and portfolio companies. Position includes interaction with DI operating companies, as well as functional groups including accounting, compliance, tax, legal and investment teams. The individual will report to the Treasurer.The Expertise You HaveBachelor's degree required; Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred4+ years work experience in a related role is preferredStrong financial engineering skills and financial analysis. Accountability for results.Your deep understanding of financial tools (Excel, Essbase, PowerPoint) and financial modeling.The skills to prioritize and lead several projects at a time and work with minimal direction in a demanding environment.Your business maturity and presence to effectively engage with senior management.The Value You DeliverReporting and forecasting on cash flow positions (both short and long-range), related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.Building and maintaining relationships with the investment banking and commercial banking sectors to ensure ready access to the capital markets to refinance existing debt, and secure adequate liquidity.Analyzing and recommending hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks related to interest rates on borrowings, foreign exchange positions and commodity exposure.Forecasting and reconciling cash distributions from portfolio companies and venture investment realizations.Preparing ad hoc analyses as needed, including valuation analytics and capital structure analysis for portfolio companies and related investments.Assisting in the preparation, collection and compilation of the quarterly Board of Director presentation materials, confirming the final product is timely and accurate.Coordinating and administering the opening of bank and brokerage accounts across the DI platform.Evaluating and improving financial reporting processes and analyses to meet changing business and portfolio needs and goals.Certifications:Company OverviewFidelity Investments is a privately held company with a mission to strengthen the financial well-being of our clients.
