Job Description:
The Loss Prevention (LP) Analyst is a key contributor in
designing methodologies and processes used for analyzing data to
help drive profitability for our brands and our franchisees. This
role will assist with implementation of department initiatives,
engage as a subject matter expert in brand projects, and educate
and bring forth ideas working cross-functionally with relevant
stakeholders within the organization. Additionally, this role will
be a key player in the development of programs and initiatives
aimed at reducing loss across our multi-brand corporate and
franchise environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate on key brand initiatives involving brand and corporate
profitability including researching, developing, and implementing
policies and procedures to identify sales variances and other risks
across company initiatives and sales channels
Support projects and work with cross-functional partners
representing the department and helping to identify areas of
potential risk or loss and implement best practices and procedures
to mitigate risk
Develop and present analysis findings and research to LP
leadership, cross functional partners, and franchisees
Provide data analysis of department and corporate initiatives using
Business Intelligence (BI) and other systems and be a key resource
for understanding and utilizing all available systems and tools to
analyze and benchmark data trends
Develop and implement tools and templates for analyzing data to
proactively identify potential underreporting of sales. Consult
with franchisees regarding sales activity across networks
Perform ad hoc analyses and other duties as assigned. This will be
a large part of the role and an ability to adapt quickly, innovate,
and effectively communicate are core success requirements for this
position
Conduct reviews of sales and operational metrics to identify trends
of potentially fraudulent activity. Including financial and other
types of analysis and present investigative findings to department
and corporate leadership, attorneys, and other stakeholders
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum -Bachelor's Degree Required (preferably in general
business, finance, accounting, or analytics)
Advanced degree a plus
Minimum 2 years of experience
Experience in financial services industry with forensic accounting,
auditing, or data analytics, with investigative experience
preferred
Experience in analyzing data utilizing Business Intelligence tools,
Tableau, Excel, or other data analysis tools
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
An investigative mind, strong business acumen and problem-solving
skills with the ability to anticipate issues and think through
solutions
Self-motivated, organized, and ability to effectively multitask and
manage multiple priorities at the same time
Good project and process management
Strong communication skills, ability to effectively communicate
across various audiences
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience and knowledge
of pivot tables, v-lookups, and other analysis functions
