Job DetailsJob LocationJamaica Plain Campus - JAMAICA PLAIN, MABehavioral Analyst- BCBA, LABA $7,500K sign-on bonus!The Behavior Analyst works in our In Home Behavioral Services, providing families with support and interventions to address a child's developmental and behavioral needs, such as ADHD, autism, and oppositional defiant disorder. The Behavior Analyst implements behavior modification plans and provides parent coaching. He/She likes to make an impact to improve the family's quality of life, communication styles, and stability of the home. By traveling to the home at least once per week, but often many more times weekly, the The Behavior Analyst works intensively with the parents and child on establishing structure and rules, developing independent skills, teaching self-regulation and soothing, and other such behavior management interventions.The The Behavior Analyst works very closely with the Behavior Monitor as a two-person team while providing support to the monitor and teaching this paraprofessional how to implement the functional behavior assessment and treatment plan established with the family.The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the duties and responsibilities that will be required of the position, but additional responsibilities may be required. Employees are expected to perform job related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.Essential Functions:Interventions/behavior treatment

  • Observe and assess goals and objectives needed to improve overall family/child functioning
  • Provide coaching and modeling for caregivers
  • Work closely with behavior monitor to ensure plans are implemented correctly and strategically
  • Oversee necessary adjustments to the behavior treatment plan
  • Implement behavior modification strategies with childrenDocumentation
    • Complete written Functional Behavioral Assessments
    • Develop focused behavior management treatment plans identifying goals and measurable objectives designed to improve positive behaviors and decrease or extinguish maladaptive behaviors
    • Document observations of the youth in school, home, and community environments
    • Create safety/risk plans as needed during times of crisisCollateral Contact
      • Work as part of system of care team and attend regular team meetings to discuss progress
      • Perform interviews with youth, family, school personnel, other providers, state agency workers, natural supports, and any other people working on the child's team
      • Call collaterals often to obtain updated clinical information and provide updates about progress in treatment
      • Observe child initially and periodically in school setting
      • Work closely with any school personnel who set behavior plans in the school setting, such as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or special education teacher/school adjustment counselorESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & QUALIFICATIONS
        • Masters degree in ABA, autism, special education, social work, or other related human service field
        • Experience working with children on behavior modification
        • Commitment to highest quality of care
        • Patience, empathy, compassion
        • Sound and appropriate judgment, especially during crises
        • Superior organizational skills; consistent and strong attention to detail
        • Discretion regarding confidentiality of clients/their histories, families, and co-workers
        • Demonstrated ability to model, teach and support
        • Superior interpersonal and teamwork skills
        • Ability to understand and implement agency treatment philosophy
        • Flexibility in action, thinking, and scheduling; reliable
        • Demonstrated ability to accept and give critical feedback
        • Follow up and follow through on tasks; able to prioritize
        • Skilled in working autonomously to meet clients' needs, complete documentation, make own schedule, and reach productivity expectations
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

        • Reliable vehicle, proof of registration and insurance, and driver's license
