American Acoustical Products [AAP] is an innovative, privately held, Holliston, Massachusetts based company, engaged in the design and manufacture of industry leading acoustical and thermal control products. The company's products provide solutions for noise and vibration control applications within the transportation, medical, military, marine, industrial enclosure, construction, and agricultural industries. AAP goes to market under the American Acoustical Products and Ward Process brands, and sells to OEM's, distributors, and fabricators worldwide.American Acoustical Products also provides customers with technical support services including on-site acoustical application surveys, in-house acoustical product testing and validation, and guidance on raw materials selection. AAP prides itself on designing and providing noise and vibration control solutions that meet or exceed our customer's expectations. The Production Supervisor oversees and organizes all aspects of the production operation under the direction of the Plant Manager and ensures that the production floor operates safely while delivering on-time schedule performance at quoted set-up and throughput rates. Directly manages 3 team leaders who oversee a workforce of 25 - 30 hourly associates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following duties and responsibilities are representative and may be expanded. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the below listed essential duties and responsibilities.Takes personal ownership and works proactively to provide a safe work environment for every employee, promoting safe employee behavior and conformance to safety rules and regulations.Develops and administers a machine operator training program to ensure all operators are fully trained and certified as appropriate, before being assigned to a machine.Assists in the recruitment of new hires and manages the subsequent on boarding process which is to include safety, ISO quality system, job skills, and machine training.Performs daily operator machine assignments and monitors/manages daily work flow to ensure a safe employee environment while concurrently achieving production schedule and cost goals.Drives Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost based continuous improvement through fact-based root-cause analysis. Works in collaboration with the Plant Manager, Quality and Process Engineering departments on these initiatives.Maintains a commitment to 5S for an organized and clean work environment that meets or exceeds housekeeping expectations. Will be responsible to implement a Visual Factory Management system.Tracks and manages hourly labor reporting to jobs and payroll timekeeping records.Works with Maintenance and Quality to stay in compliance with all scheduled Preventative Maintenance.Maintains communication between employees and management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood including the facilitation of AAP's progressive discipline program.Ensures effective employee relations and high morale through a fair and respectful leadership style.Provides performance feedback and administers AAP Company policies fairly and equally to all production personnel.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Associate's Degree; a combination of education, training and experience will be considered5+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment requiredSpanish/English bilingual a plus.Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable.OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training highly desirable; CPR/First Responder & Bloodborne Pathogen certification a plus.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Champion for safety and injury prevention.Must have good attention to details, but be able to manage the big picture.High degree of customer awareness and sense of urgency to accommodate the needs of the customerMust be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis.Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High energy, demonstrates urgency and fast pace.Ability to lead a teamExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to stand for long periods of time and tolerate seasonal temperature fluctuationsLEADERSHIP VALUES/BEHAVIORS:Integrity: Operates at the highest level of ethical, moral, safety and legal behaviorTeamwork: Optimizes the value of collaboration across the Company, shares ideas and best practicesCustomer Focused: Puts top priority on understanding the needs, requirements, and expectations of the customer (external and internal)Delivers Results: Sets high standards of performance and consistently meets themFact-Based: Collects the relevant and appropriate data and makes actionable decisions/plans based upon this informationContinuous Improvement: Driven to continually improve the speed and effectiveness of key processesAmerican Acoustical Products [AAP] is an equal opportunity employer Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran and a drug free workplace.
