Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of monthly broker commission payments, annual broker bonus payments, 5500 reporting, and internal/external broker compensation inquiries. Responsibilities include assisting with the facilitation of Broker compensation processes by coordinating with Manager and Broker staff, the resolution of production and data issues related to broker compensation processes, and the testing of yearly program changes, new reports, new functionality & system enhancements.Job Description

  • Ensure timely and accurate calculation and disbursement of commission payments to Brokers.
  • Responsible for all audit reports, data input, reconciliations and analysis required to process monthly broker commissions according to the compensation plan. This includes reconciliation of membership and premium reconciliations for Commercial and Medicare business. Also, responsible for the validation of commission payments and the resolution of all payout issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure timely and accurate calculation and disbursement of bonus payments to Brokers.
  • Responsible for all data input, reconciliations and analysis required to process annual broker bonuses according to the compensation plan. This includes reconciliation of new and persistent business, validation of each Broker's bonus metrics, and tracking and entering system overrides and manual adjustments. Also, responsible for validation of bonus payments and the resolution of all payout issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • As requested by Sales or Broker, provide Broker Bonus Qualification status reports.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Monitor monthly ERISA reporting run and process any manual data requests.
  • Maintain policies and procedures for Broker Compensation responsibilities.
  • Assist with departmental projects as needed.
  • Assist with internal sales compensation processingRequirementsQualifications (Minimum education & experience level required):
    • Bachelor's degree in business or related work experience is preferred.
    • Minimum two to three years of business experience required.Skill requirements (include complexity of position):
      • Must be highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and various deadlines.
      • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with complex financial data.
      • Possesses flexibility to adapt to changing processes and timelines.
      • Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret & apply concepts from developed programs /processes
      • Proven ability to work independently or as a team.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel requiredInterpersonal skills (include personal interaction):
        • This position must be able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management.
        • This position frequently interacts with Brokers by phone and in person, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills.
