Our portfolio spans a broad spectrum of public and private asset classes, and we are committed to expanding our capabilities and our toolkit in furtherance of our mission.LMI is actively searching for an Analyst to join the Strategy & Asset Allocation (SAA) team. SAA is the nerve center of LMI, responsible for developing the tools and insights necessary for deconstructing the macro/market narrative, informing top-down house views, proposing cross-asset trades, setting the asset allocation for the General Account (GA), and directly managing the GA's public equity exposure as well as the Pension. SAA functions as the Office of the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), influencing all aspects of the portfolio management process and ensuring that LMI delivers for its LMIG partners. Responsibilities:

• Domestic and International Client Portfolio Management
  • Assist the team in carrying out a wide range of investment projects intended for the CIO, internal investment committees, leadership teams, and Liberty Mutual Group
  • Support SAA in monitoring portfolio positioning, understanding constraints, and assisting in designing appropriate investment strategies
  • Contribute to research initiatives and build/enhance quantitative models aimed at monitoring portfolio objectives, strategy, and solutioning
    • Enterprise Partnership
      • Establish relationships with business units to elevate two-way communications and drive efficient discussions regarding strategy, portfolio positioning and insurance operations
      • Coordinate with LMI and finance, risk, actuarial, capital, compliance, and other enterprise teams on various topics including strategy, planning, research, and capital and income allocation
      • Assist with M&A activities and their implications on investments
        • Industry Surveillance
          • Monitor news and industry sources for events and trends related to investing for insurance companies and prepare summaries of key events for LMI
          • Provide in-depth coverage of the investment activities of a set of peer insurers including briefings on quarterly actions for senior management
