Maintenance Manager

Summary:
This role performs essential job functions relating to all
maintenance department issues. This hands on role guides a small
team of technicians and will lead the repair and maintenance of
equipment, facilities and vehicles. You will work to minimize
unplanned downtime, improve production quality, increase equipment
efficiency and maintain a clean, safe work environment. In addition
you role will:
- Supervise employees who perform maintenance and install
equipment used in thermal processing applications.
- Monitor, reinforce and oversee health, safety and environmental
(SHE) performance of department and employees.
- Resolve chronic or acute equipment issues.
- Identify, select, assign and supervise contract personnel who
perform specialized maintenance work or who supplement department
work.
- Monitor progress of employees in terms of skills training and
identifies/assigns specific training as required.
- Direct the scheduling of daily and monthly routine and
preventive maintenance activities as well as working with
operations department to determine scheduling of equipment that
requires shutdown.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)
for maintenance work order management, documenting equipment
information and managing preventive maintenance
requirements.
- Create, edit or revise less complex engineering drawings using
computer aided engineering software.
- Supervise inventory control personnel and ensure spare parts
inventory is available and the spare parts handling process is
managed.
- Manage capital projects by initiating Capital Asset Requests,
initiating purchasing requests for CapEx project related items.
Will also supervise installation, project milestones and
timing.
- Maintain a high degree of fiscal budget responsibility for the
plant and department through organized management of purchase
orders and competitive supplier bidding.
- Own the assessment of facility conditions and initiates
facility repair and/or maintenance activities.
- Maintain argon and nitrogen gas inventories and paper work with
every delivery
- Prepare month-end reporting, and updates facility maintenance
and Environmental Management System KPIs.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements,
therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident
Card Holder.
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial
Technology or a related discipline. 15 years of equivalent work
experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience requires a
minimum of 5 yrs. cumulative maintenance experience in an
industrial environment.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with industrial manufacturing
systems and heavy duty piping and plumbing to ensure success in the
role.
- Experience with cooling water systems and exposure to water
treatment systems is advantageous.
- Experience with cryogenics and high pressure gas systems is
advantageous.
- Basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
required
