Job Description:

TSR is seeking an Electrical & Instrument Designer to work with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. - This is a long term, indefinite contract position located near Marlborough, MA. - Job Responsibilities:

• -Generate and revise electrical drawings for mechanical and process equipment, power supply components, instruments, panels, and related wiring. - Drawings include P&ID???s , single line electrical distribution, -electrical schematics, control schematics, details required for construction fabrication, installation, quality control, -and documentation of loop data. -
• Responsible for creating the documentation required for the selection, purchase, and installation of instrumentation and electrical systems in new or existing process plants.
• Interface with and participate on teams with manufacturing personnel, maintenance personnel, other engineering design disciplines, vendors, contractors, and suppliers as needed.
• Work includes gathering field information, locating related reference drawings, -estimating workhours, getting quotes for E & I items, and assist in writing E & I sections of scopes of work. Qualifications:
  • 5 years+ experience in CAD design of electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems in chemical, power, or other industrial settings ideal, though willing to train candidates with hands-on electrical experience that would like to start an E&I Design career
  • Must have a working knowledge of power distribution, motor control, instrumentation, wire & cable sizing, NEC requirements, etc.
  • Associate???s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrument/Controls Technology, certified CAD Training program, or demonstrated proficiency in Electrical or Instrumentation Design in lieu of degree
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and implement multiple, concurrent projects or activities.
  • Good communication & documentation of work products are essential
