FP&A Analyst, R&D (Hybrid - Waltham,
MA)Overview:PerkinElmer is currently seeking an FP&A Analyst to
join their corporate finance team. This is an exciting opportunity
to work for a growing company, learn about the R&D projects and
resources and be a critical finance partner to the R&D team and
the business CFO. In this role, the FP&A Analyst will be
responsible for a broad range of financial activities.
Additionally, the FP&A Analyst will be responsible for
overseeing forecasting & reporting, measuring and reporting on
project performance, driving finance initiatives, and providing
strategic analysis to deliver and improve business performance.
This is a hybrid opportunity with the expectation to work on-site
(1-2 days a week) at our headquarters located in Waltham, MA.Key
Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate the FP&A forecasting,
planning and reporting for Business Owned R&D
resources/projects.Provide analysis and support to R&D leaders,
Project Managers, and the BU Leadership team for monthly meetings,
strategic goal setting, annual operating plans, and
monthly/quarterly operational reviews.Coordinate with other R&D
finance partners on planning and forecasting activities.Coordinates
creation and approval of R&D related CapEx for planning and
forecasting purposes, informs other functions of anticipated CapEx
resulting from NPI's.Measure and monitor OPEX spend.Evaluate
project performance against business cases.Basic
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree ANDA minimum of 2 years' of
experience in corporate financeORA minimum of 1+ years' experience
in Corporate Finance for a multi-national, matrixed
organizationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Finance,
Accounting or Business.Chartered Accountant, CIA, or MBA is a
plus.Excellent MS Excel skills, working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion
and PDWare strongly preferredEffectively communicates with and
engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing;
translates technical guidance into business terms and implications;
produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all
audiences.Comfortable around senior management. Strong
multi-cultural interpersonal skills. Builds constructive and
effective relationships.Demonstrates ability to be effective in a
matrix-reporting environment.Allocates time and resources
efficiently, able to adapt to shifting priorities; continually
seeks way to improve individual/team efficiency; meets aggressive
deadlines.Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for
