As a Render Farm Support Analyst, you will provide design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and scripting support for New Balance's Render Farm infrastructure servers and software. This role will have oversight of the New Balance Render Farm utilized by product design teams globally. This involves supporting in-office and remote users to ensure a high-performance system.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day monitoring and support for the hardware and software components of the render farm infrastructure including troubleshooting and on-site parts replacements. You will also monitor and balance jobs to optimize utilization and speed, create scripts, and prioritize job queues. You will be the subject matter expert for this area as part of a larger server infrastructure support team.

The role will ensure the Render environments are fully documented and will involve educating and mentoring peers on the architecture and operations of the farm. This critical technology is expected to expand over time.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Maintain acceptable uptime of the Render Farm infrastructure.
  • Support OS/software releases, including software patching, hardware/firmware patches, OS patches and security patches along with reboots.
  • Support hardware upgrades and parts replacements as needed.
  • Familiar with CPU/GPU hardware configurations
  • Support capacity monitoring and monitor system performance, event alerts, and availability reporting.
  • Serve as the primary resource to interface with related vendors.
  • Work with product teams with an eye to newer/future render technologies and processes
  • Manage the technical infrastructure projects that are developed in this space (expansion, upgrades, new technology)
    Requirements for Success:
    • 3-5 years of experience working in an IT environment.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows servers.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with supporting Render Farm infrastructure hardware and software.
    • Minimum 2 years of support experience with 3D visualization software, queuing software, and major scripting languages
    • Comfortable working directly with creative teams and artists in a support role.
    • Understanding of basic networking in a large enterprise environment.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
    • Must be proactive and customer service focused.
    • Ability to work independently when needed.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Strong ability to manage vendors, projects, and deliverables
