approach. Due to growth, we are looking to add a skilled Mechanical
Engineer to our team in Boston. This hire will join an established,
growing team providing a range of mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing
engineering services to our practices across the firm. You will
work on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, odor control, and
plumbing projects for our industrial, water, wastewater, municipal,
design-build, and plant operations clients on a regional and

DetailsResponsibilities:1. Design, develop, and test all aspects of
mechanical components, equipment, and machinery related to HVAC
systems.2. Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design
products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines,
etc.3. Coordinate with project managers to work on HVAC, plumbing,
and water/wastewater projects.4. Design and implement
cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety,
reliability, and throughput.5. Develop a project specification with
colleagues, often including those from other engineering
disciplines.6. Discuss and solve complex problems with
manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and
customers.7. Ensure a product can be made reliably and will perform
consistently in specified operating environments.8. Use
computer-aided design/modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and
Trane Trace 3D.9. Evaluate the functionality of systems and
components to ensure they meet necessary standards.10. Manage
projects using engineering principles and
techniques.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical
Engineering or related field.2. Experience in mechanical
engineering, specifically with HVAC systems and plumbing.3. PE
license is a plus4. Experience with water systems design, including
hot water heating and chilled water systems.5. Experience with
refrigerant-based HVAC systems, including variable refrigerant flow
(VRF) and heat pumps.6. Competence with applicable building codes
(IBC, IECC, ASHRAE codes and standards, OSHA, etc.).7 Proficient in
Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.8. Experience in
water/wastewater infrastructure design projects is a plus.9.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.10.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.This position
