Job Description:

Patient Service Representative: Receptionist Part Time: 24 hours Schedule: Mon-Fri Hours: 8-4:30pm Roles and Responsibilities: Provide medical office front desk support: * Greet patients, collect co-pays, answer telephones, schedule patient appointments and testing, ensure necessary referrals are in place, verify and update patient demographics into electronic health record. * Request prior authorizations for medical procedures/diagnostic exams/surgery. * Input updated demographic and insurance information * Receive record and process copays for office visits * Upload outside imaging into DICOM Grid * Escort patient into exam room * Upload imaging in exam room for practitioner * Stock exam rooms with necessary supplies * Input new patient packet information into electronic record * Assist with general office responsibilities (phones/fax/email/mail) * Communicate with x-ray department regarding imaging and schedules * Print x-rays orders and deliver to x-ray department * Communication with practitioner throughout clinic hours * Refer medical questions to appropriate sources (Physician, Manager, or Director). * Respond to billing companies requests for documentation or clarification of charges * Participate in special projects as identified by the Physician.Strong computer and exceptional customer service/interpersonal skills required. Medical/Surgical office experience and use of an EHR and Microsoft Office and Outlook strongly preferred. Ability to multi-task and prioritize a must.
