Pliancy is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join the growing team at our Boston office.

  • We're building our sales team from scratch after 10 years as a company. Until now, we've only done referral-based sales-and we've still managed to grow over the last two years by 150%, with seven offices across the U.S. to date. We've been quietly building an arsenal of amazing, authentic client stories, testimonials, and references. We're already disrupting our industry. Now we're looking for someone to help us keep winning-on our people-focused terms-on a bigger, better playing field.
  • Our team is invested in working with clients who are the best fit for us. This role will report to Pliancy's Manager of Growth, being championed by the whole company, and have direct support from the Leadership Team. You'll have a tightly knit team of technical, marketing, and business professionals ready to support you with resources to tell the most compelling stories to the best potential clients. Sure, we have impressive technology, but that's not what you'd be selling. You're selling the team and people behind that technology/vision, and the conscientious support they provide their clients-real people at Life Sciences and Finance organizations who are solving important problems.
  • While not an IT role, we're looking for people who are interested in technology, data, and how they can be leveraged to solve problems for the clients we partner with. Someone who lights up when they talk about the potential of technology for human progress.

    What's an average day like?You get to help us iterate on our sales strategy, schedule, and culture. The SDR will be instrumental in executing (both independently and collaboratively) on various key strategic projects to continue building out the Growth Department. Though this is a Sales Development role, your outbound sales efforts will be focused primarily on generating conversations and relationships with strategic referral channels (as opposed to traditional lead generation). You'll also be working closely with Pliancy's Manager of Growth selling exclusively to clients in the Life Science and Finance verticals. These clients are very friendly and enjoyable to work with. Once we're in, we're treated as one of their own, not as an outside individual. We're a fun, relaxed team that has a passion for technology and helping our clients through creative solutions.     • Be the world-class, front-line brand ambassador for most of the world's first human-to-human interaction with Pliancy
    • Leverage sales software to track and manage a lead through the sales cycle from start to finish
    • Collaborate on and occasionally lead key strategic project initiatives both on the Growth Team and cross-functionally across Pliancy
    • Perform discovery on inbound and outbound prospects to better inform the sales team during calls
    • Attend, and eventually lead, sales meetings with prospective clients
    • Prospect and develop sales appointments within Pliancy's target market
    • Creatively identify, research, and generate a pipeline of qualified target accounts through a combination of cold calling, email campaigns, and market sector knowledge/intelligence
    • Evangelize the Pliancy vision through emails, in-market events, and account-specific initiatives
    • Understand the account's needs and effectively communicate how Pliancy can solve their problems (with the help of the sales team)

        As of September 27, 2021, Pliancy requires all employees to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination before being admitted to any of our physical offices.
