Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Pursue and acquire new strategic customers by promoting the value of our solutions.Develop and manage a list of potential customers via follow-ups, networking, prospecting, cold calling, customer referrals, leads, community involvement and other innovative means of developing business.Introduce and promote new product solutions (joint selling).Work with Regional Sales Director in developing sales targets and other performance measures.Introduce, support and development of new and existing logistics systems including customer inventory management systems.Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis.Provide progress report on business development activity and result.Key Account Management may be assigned at the discretion of the Market Manager.Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.CompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Adaptability - Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.Building Trust - Interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization.Energy - Consistently maintaining high levels of activity or productivity; sustaining long working hours when necessary; operating with vigor, effectiveness, and determination over extended periods of time.Formal Presentation - Presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups when given time to prepare; delivering presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience.Innovation - Generating innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.Negotiation - Effectively exploring alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.Sales Ability/Persuasiveness - Using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea from prospects and clients.Education and/or ExperienceA Bachelor Degree 2-3 years' experience in outside sales or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports & business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, employees of the organization, and the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram from. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer/System SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have Intermediate knowledge of:Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)OutlookCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent valid driver's licenseQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
