  • Responsible for the order management process that includes reviewing EDI and emailed purchase orders and ensuring all orders are validated and compliant, and followed-up upon until delivery can be created. This process includes researching accounts and contracts, requesting revisions, and working with our customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues/missing information on purchase orders.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone calls. Resolving complex situations requires the use of multiple systems and outreaches. Exercise strong judgement, within company procedures and practices to determine appropriate course of action and escalate as necessary.
  • Take ownership of incoming inquires and become the point person to ensure a smooth workflow for the sales team and customer.
  • Communicate order confirmations, backorders and low-inventory situations to customers and the commercial team per internal instructions. Organize and prioritize orders during low-inventory situations as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with the commercial team, finance, legal, IT and logistics teams as you work in partnership to process customer service-related matters.
  • Work to resolve pricing and billing discrepancies. Ability to understand the basics of customer contracts and sales pricing programs.
    • Responsible for organizing daily workload to complete all necessary activities within expected service levels.
    • Lead customer service-related projects related to backorders, inventory, audit requests, system upgrades, documentation of processes, etc. as needed.
    • Rotate and cross-train on all customer service tasks within the service center and provide backup support to co-workers.
