About the Opportunity JOB SUMMARY The Brain Game Center for
Mental Fitness and Well-Being, led by Professors Aaron Seitz and
Susanne Jaeggi, is seeking a Senior Research Technician to assist
in overseeing the lab’s operations. Our research focuses on
measuring and training cognitive processes. We work with diverse
populations, including children, older adults, neurodiverse
individuals, and those with perceptual and cognitive needs.
Therefore, candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to the unique
needs of individuals from different backgrounds including race,
culture, gender, socioeconomic status. The ideal candidate will
serve in a leadership position that requires strong interpersonal,
communication, and staff and project management skills, and must be
able to work effectively in both remote and in-person settings.
This role involves close collaboration with PIs, the Associate
Director, postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate students,
programmers, designers, community partners, and
national/international collaborators. Experience in team management
and staff supervision is essential, as the Senior Research
Technician will play a key role in guiding and supporting lab
members, ensuring efficient workflow, and fostering a collaborative
and inclusive environment. RESPONSIBILITIES The successful
candidate will be responsible for the following: Overseeing all
operations of the lab’s research studies, including adherence to
IRB protocols, clinical trials, study material and protocol
development, management and training of lab members, data
collection, and participant recruitment. Overseeing procurement,
inventory, and maintenance of lab equipment and office supplies;
coordinating activities related to lab and office space;
coordinating with financial department and IT on equipment orders
and updates as needed. Supporting the PIs with grant submissions,
progress reports, and compliance documentation. Assisting with
managing a large, multidisciplinary team of researchers and
software developers. The Senior Research Technician will identify
opportunities to improve internal lab processes, such as staff
workflows and procedural efficiencies, and work with the PIs to
implement solutions that enhance productivity and expedite the
achievement of project goals. Providing support to students,
clients and collaborators, including developing training materials,
and providing consultations on complex procedures. QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience,
Education, or related technical field required. MA degree in
Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Education, or related
technical field preferred. 3-5 years of related project management
experience in an academic or professional experience research lab,
with a strong background in managing complex research projects. 3-5
years of proven experience in leading teams, managing staff, and
coordinating projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Experience with IRB procedures and clinical trial protocols.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability
to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
independently and in a team environment. Exceptional time
management, and solution-focused problem solving skills. Strong
attention to detail in maintaining accurate and comprehensive
records of research data. Willingness to work flexible hours as
needed, including occasional weekend hours, as needed for
particular research activities, and to travel off-site for

Expected Hiring Range: $29.00 - $40.96 With the pay range(s) shown
above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which
may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and
expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to
similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are
