A wake Overnight Residential Counselor Bridge Over Troubled

runaway, homeless, and high-risk youth in Boston, and has been a
national model in providing innovative youth services. Our mission

encouraging relationships, counseling, housing, and skill-building,
to guide them towards self-sufficiency and achieving their goals.
ABOUT THE ROLE The Awake Overnight Residential Counselor ensures
the safety, well-being, and positive environment for youth and
young adults during overnight shifts in a residential program. This
role requires remaining awake and alert throughout the shift while
providing support and guidance to residents. RESPONSIBILTIES
Supervise and monitor youth overnight, ensuring safety and
adherence to program guidelines. Provide advocacy, referrals,
crisis intervention, and supportive counseling as needed. Orient
new residents to program rules and expectations. Assist residents
in developing life skills, including cooking, socialization, and
independent living preparation. Maintain accurate documentation and
communicate effectively with staff. Participate in staff meetings
and contribute to a culturally sensitive environment. Serve as a
liaison between the program and community resources. Ensure that
all activities, services, and programs through Bridge are conducted
in a manner that is sensitive to and shows respect for the cultural
and ethnic diversity for all Bridge clients. We are seeking
compassionate case managers. Participate in weekly and quarterly
program and staff meetings. Please Note: This job description is

demands. QUALIFICATIONS It takes a special person to serve as a

Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field preferred.
Minimum two years of experience working with adolescents or young
adults. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience with homelessness, substance abuse, or related issues
preferred. Effective communication and crisis management skills.
Duties will be performed both in an office environment and in the
field where program residents reside. A flexible schedule and
ability and willingness to work outside of regular business hours
is essential. SKILLS AND STRENGTHS Comfort and confidence working
in a fast-paced dynamic work environment. Enthusiastic about
working with homeless transitional youth population. PAY AND
BENEFITS The hourly rate for this position is $20.00/ hour, Weekend
Differential: $3.00/ hour (Total $23.00/ hour on weekends).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job the
employee is regularly required to sit, work at a computer, stand
and walk, and must be able to lift /move weight up to 25 pounds.
The employee also must be able to hear and speak sufficiently to
manage phone calls and effectively communicate/converse with
others. The employee must have visual acuity and cognitive capacity
to read, understand, and draft reports, letters, etc. The noise
level is quiet to moderate, however, the employee must be able to
perform in various settings, including in public spaces and at
